I'm 19 yrs old, my period lasts for approx 11 day. I'm extremely worried abould this. Could this problem be due to a serious underlying condition? SONYA replied. Dear Roma,

Okay, we know that you are 19yrs. old,
at what age did you got your first
period? and during those years....how
many days did your period last?

I don't know about your case.....but
for me: I had my first period when I was
10 years old. It last me somewhere from
5-7 days, then there are times when I
have them for 7-11 days. But, then
after I got married....my periods last
only 2-5 days. I just have irregular
period, this was nothing to be alarmed
about.

But.....It's also important that you let
your gynecologist know about this. At,
age 18 yrs. It was my first well women
exam, that's was how I know that I
have irregular period. Did you have
your Pap smear, yet?

Go ahead....make the appointment. This
is the only way to be certain that
you are well.
