I have moved to UK in the last week. Could anyone advise me on the baby food available here like gerber,yo, etc? I dont know which one we get here and which to start with. My son has never tried these in India? Which are the good ones to start with?
I stay at Croydon , Uk.

Hi Ramya,
Until visiting this site I thought My son defined the word "FUSSY EATER". He was so bad that he ended up in the hospital! He weighed 7.9 KG at 12 months and that freaked me out coz he was 8 kg at 6 months! He is doing excellent now. He is 15 months and almost 9.5 kg. The miracle worker for me was a dietian. Our doctor got us to see a dietian and we have started parctically feeding him FAT. It is the quality of food that goes in their mouth that counts not quantity. So we did small things like adding 35 % cream in his milk... 1 table spoon of Ghee in everything that he eats...Basically we got on a calorie plan and I basically counted the calories that intakes per day. And his weight just went up..Mind you he is still a fussy eater but at least his weight and mental developement does not have to be at risk any more. I can give you more info but I leave in Canada and I'm not sure if the same type of food be available if you are in India. My suggestion would be to seek a professional advise from a dietian and get on a plan soon. Good luck.

Roopa,

I stay in the UK and my daughter is 17 months old. If you go into one of the supermarkets (Tesco, Sainsbury, Safewway, etc), you can pick up jar food for your child. I have used the cow and gate and Hipp brand. I think there are a couple of others and they are all good. Experiment and see which ones your baby likes.
