FSH (Follicle Stimulating Hormone), will be normal or low with PCOS
LH (Lutenizing Hormone), will be elevated
LH/FSH ratio. This ratio is normally about 1:1 in premenopausal women, but with PCOS a ratio of greater than 2:1 or 3:1 may be considered diagnostic
In your case its 9.7/3.9 = 2.48
Prolactin will be normal or low
Testosterone, total and/or free, usually elevated
FSH should be taken on day 3 of your cycle and the results are as
follows: FSH is often used as a gauge of ovarian reserve. In
general,under 6 is excellent, 6-9 is good, 9-10 fair, 10-13 diminished
reserve, 13+ very hard to stimulate.
In PCOS testing, the LH:FSH ratio may be used in the diagnosis. The
ratio is usually close to 1:1, but if the LH is higher, it is one
possible indication of PCOS.
the LH should also be taken on day 3 of your cycle and the results are
the same as with FSH...a \";normal\"; value is <7
prolactin should be drawn on day 3 of the cycle and Increased prolactin levels can interfere with ovulation. They may also indicate further testing (MRI) should be done. Some women with PCOS also have hyperprolactinemia. normal results should be less than 24 ng/ml

Best is to meet your doc soon & see what he/she can prescribe?...Try even ayurveda/homeo if possible.

Hi,
I am not sure abt all of them but i think that your prolactin is very high(i think it should be below 30)

Prolactin is produced by the pitutary gland and its high levels can lead to PCOS .... generally they prescribe Parlodel(i dont remmeber its generic name...) and if it si very high , they also do an MRI to see if there is any tumor(there is no need to worry as this is pretty common and they are harmless ..)

if what i am saying is correct , then i think u should be very happy since the root of the problem has been found and it should not be difficult to solve it :)

Hope this helps....
