Hi,

Apologies for posting on the wrong board but this seems to be the most active .. pls go thru .. pls ..

My son who will be 2 in May isnt potty trained .. i hv been trying (not very consistently i admit) for past 3 mnths .. he doesnt wear diapers except while going out or at nite
Initially he used to tell me AFTER he had done potty or pee pee but since past 10 days when i hv really become more after him to sit on the potty, he doesnt even tell me after he has done it ... just looks at me guiltily. He treats both the baby potty seat & the seat u affix on the adult seat as toys .. so far he has Not ONCE done either potty or pee in any of them .. i am so frustated .. what am i doing wrong :(

Can anyone share:

1. HOW did they start the process of potty & pee pee training? What did u do?

2. How long did it take ( i get frustated easily & end up yelling at him which i know is wrong)

PLEASE SHARE

Thanks

Nidhi

hello nidhi,

u know i used to feel exactly the same u r feeling now but take it easy. what i did was take m baby's fav toy n pretend as if the toy wanted to go.. so gradually my son started to realize that if he has to pee or poop he has to do it in his potty seat. initially there were a lot of accidents. if ur son treats them as toys its okay just give him time to get comfortable with it u cld tell him that this toy helps him in peeing or pottyfying and u will also hv to make it v clear to him that if he wants to go he has to use his seat. for me it took like 15 days or so( i used to leave all my work n sit besides his potty, no matter what u will hv to use this only:P ) so just relax n he will learn soon i hope. good luck
