My MIL will be having knee replacement operation in April next year , so me and my hubby will be going to india to take care of her , i want to know is there any specific food plan and will be great if somebody tell me how to take care of her and we will be going for a month only , and i need to know what is the exact procedure of knee replacement , how long they will be in hospital and in rehab ...

Pls advice ...

depends

upon her overall health, her orthopedist will do all the required tests, and tell you a tentative plan for diet, and rehab. Pre-operative care, operation, post-operative care depends upon the operation, age of the patient, her condition, any complications. In normal conditions, rehab will be 15 days, but she will require bed rest for some more time, depends upon her. The doctor who operates upon her will be the best judge, and your queries should be directed towards Him/Her.
