Hi,

My daughter is 6 mths. I have been advised by her paed to give her ragi mixed with dhal in the morn and ragi mixed with veg in the evening. She doesnt eat this at all. She sleeps very late in the night and keeps getting up very often in the night. She refuses to drink formula milk from bottle.she just likes to drink BM. but i feel that the quality as well as quantity of BM has come down as she keeps deanding quite often.
Is there anyway i can make her eat solids and make her drink from feeding bottle ? what else can i give if she doesn't like ragi ?

Hi,

I have a 5 month old daughter. Trying to switch her from breast to bottle was a big challenge for me. I tried various nipples and bottles. Finally i tried to give her when she was really really hungry. Also i gave her fast flow nipples instead of slow/medium flow and finally formula should be warm. she loves to have it now. She still wakes up a lot during the night to breast feed but then its just her habit. That is the next on my agenda to train her. Lets see what happens. Also if u have someone at home then u stay away (in the other room or just go out of the house) and let the other person feed her with the bottle.
All the best

hi
My baby is also six months old. I m also trying to give him bottle feed but all in vain.He takes it as toy and loves playing with it but not for drinking milk.Though I have started suji kheer,Cerelac but i also want to introduce formula milk for atleast one time so that he do not resist milk in the near future.
And is it right time to start juice.
i have also read that honey is allergic to some kids.
cud i give custard to my baby?

Hi! try to give her fresh fruit juice like orange juice.. shud not be sour. You can boil dalia or sooji in milk and give her in place of raggi, add honey for sweetness. All the best.
