Planning a Baby  Discussion Forum

I have been married for the last in Feb 2002 . We have never used family planning methods , since we wanted to have a baby. I have a history of irregular periods , cycle being around 30-35 days.

I had a miscarriage in Feb 2003 in 4 weeks of pregnancy . Have consulted 2-3 gynaecologist but with no results . In Nov 2004 I was diagnosed for ovarian cyst in the right ovary which was operated surgically and the cyst was removed , since it was very painful . during the surgery i was also detected for inflamed appendicitis which was also removed . We were suggested to plan for the baby only after 6 months after the surgery . And again there were no results .

In April 05 I consulted a well known gynaecologist and fertility specialist. Was prescribed for Clompihene 500 mg from 3rd day to the 7th day of my period , this was repeated for 2 months. In Jun 05 hysterscopy was performed and there were 5 blockages in my fallopian tubes which was cleared by the doc. After this my periods were regularised and till date it is coming on the same day every month . Ovulation study was done which showed 16th day when the egg ruptures. 2 dosed of Profasi was given every alternate month from July 05. Also Fertyl Super –500 mg is been prescribed from 3rd day . Am also taking vitamin and folic acid supplements daily from April 2005 .

My husband sperm count results were normal too. We are unable to understand what could be the reason .

Could you kindly suggest whether the current treatment is appropriate and is there any other alternative you could suggest .

Why don't you for an IUI (iNTRA UTERINE INSEMINATION). aLSO HOPE THE dR HAS DONE ALL YOUR HORMONE TESTS.

I can understand what you are going thru. O mi god!! you have gone thru all the hell, i feel.

dont worry even i am going thru the same thing as u. Dont worry, i think you have done all the test that are much needed.

I hv also gone thru HCG, HSG et al. but all the test were perfect to the T.

Hoping that no one ever goes thru all these things and are blessed with a bouncy beautiful baby whenever they want.

I feel ur tension is taking a toll on u. Just leave all the things alone and enjoy your time and life with your husband and dont think of anything beyond that. Some Things happen when least expected!! Just believe in God and do all your duties and dont expect anything and see u will do wonders, trust me!!!
