Hello freinds,

My baby is 7 months - uptill now she just fed on Similac Advance formula..
I want to start some solid foods like Dal, rice, sooji etc. but not sure how to go about it

Could someone please suggest how to go about it and how many times in a day..along with the Similac formula.

Thanks and best regards,
GIB

First it is better to start with soft foods like home made ragi porridge or gerber infant cereal or cerlacfirst one time a day and after a week to two times.alon with that you can add mashed fruits like banana or fruit juices or cooked and mashed veggies for snack.and slowly after a month or so you can cool rice and dal and some veggis also to gether mash it and feed your baby.

You can start at small quantity.there wont be any problem.but please see how your babys hunger is.if he has good appetite and having no problem with the feeding then go on.best of luck.

Hi,

I have started feeding my baby with solid at 6mths for 3 meals (b/fast , lunch & tea). He is heading to his 8th mth by next week and teething at the moment. I wanted to increase his meal by adding another meal time at around 6-7pm. But I am not sure is this advisable or shall I just follow the current routine of 3 meal time and just increase the quantity of the meal.

Please advice.
Thank you,
Regards,
