Hi Dony,
I started feeding my daughter through a glass only one month back...prior to that i had bought three differnt sippers for her but she never drank from them. Initially she drank only little... I used to play her fav song on TV ...then pour the milk slowly into her mouth ...she used to drink around 50-60ml....now it has increased to around 120ml(which is still very less for her age).
Infact you can give it a try right away. Do let me know if it works...It will take some time for her to get used to it. Be patient.
Bye

Hi dony,
Well my daughter is still breast feeding...as it is her only source of calcium intake( she doesn't like yogurt and she eats cheese once in a while). Now days I am trying to feed her formula from a glass...she takes only couple of ozs in this way... if I try to force it she throws up. Well i am hoping that she will develop a taste for it.
Her eating habits are bad as well...sometimes she passes through a phase where she doesn't want to eat anything...those times i don't let her snack and keep long gaps between her meals.
My main problem is that she doesn't sleep through the night. My ped had advised me to feed her 220ml of formula before she goes to bed which i have not been able to... so after her dinner between 8 to 8:30...I breast feed her and put her to sleep...but she keeps waking up after every hour or two. I have not been able to figure out whether she does it out of hunger or she has some other problems. Does your daughter have the same problem? I am asking you so because you are also breast feeding her.

Hi dony
Thanks for the consolation! Hope things get better with period of time and if i am able to figure out what her problem is.

I would suggest you keep feeding formula to your daughter from a bowl with a spoon and once she is ready to drink from glass you can slowly pour the milk into her mouth .Hope things work out for you too. Best of luck!!!
I am at present in Switzerland. Where are you from?

hii tanu
i can very well understand ur problem...my daughter wakes up 2-3 times in night but she will wake upp for 5-10min and i breastfeed her and she sleeps again.......she sleeps around 8:30 in night and wakes up after 3-4 hrs .....she does not wakes up before 3 hours generally but i have noticed if she eats properly then she sleeps properly throughtout the night...but there is not a single day when she has slept throughout the night.....i think our kids r hungry thats why they keep on waking upp.....i know that must be stressfull for u .....but tanu we have to pass through this phase......i think as they will grow they will sleep properly.....but if ur daughter wakes upp 5 times thats really tiring for u ......tanu u can check the temp of the room may be she feels cold or warm....sometimes bec of teething also childres don't sleep properly....is she doing it now or from birth she wakes up like this......wat u feed in dinner time....try to feed something heavy........u can try flavoured curd also.....r u living in america........
