Hi everyone,

My daughter is 3 1/2 years old and suffered a lot by ear infection at winter. She got better during summer, but last week she had pain due to infection. I searched thru the net and trying to follow some possible things to prevent it, but i want to know if anyone is sailing in the boat. As winter is approaching i'm very much worried that she may get it often.

I live in U.S and i believe parents of toddlers in U.S know better about the ear infection. I want you all to share your experience! I also like to know what you do to prevent your toddlers from getting ear infection? It will be really greatful to have your valuable suggestions and experience!

Thanks in advance! Nora replied. My youngest daughter constantly had ear infections. Her doctor eventually stop giving her antibiotics. So just had to treat with tylenol/motrin. She is 3 1/2. With all the ear infections, she had 70% hearing loss. I finally found the problem. She was allergic to the shampoo and conditioner we were using in our household. Most shampoo uses formeldyhe in them (surprising hugh. it softens the water). Formeldyhe causes ear infections and hearing loss. I found a shampoo that doesn't use formeldyhe in it. It is all natural. It has tea tree oil in it.
