Hi,

I live in Nj. I amd my daughter came to india 2 weeks back to hyderabad, India.

In the ist week we had gone to my inlaws place in AP. After coming back my daughter started to have loose motions. Then I took her to peadiatrician and he gave Eubioz sachets to be mixed in 4 tsps of water twice a day and also Pedialyte to prevent dehydrationd.He also suggested stool culture if she does no recover.

So we got the stool test done and the report said it found E coli. So doc gave Bacigyl- N for 5 days but it did not work. So he suggested Amikacin Injectibles twice a day for 5 days and I got that done too which ended yesterday. My daughter is so brave to get the shots done daily for 5 days. I am so worried, since i came to india I am roaming around hospitals. She is having stomach pain since past 3 days and doc gave colicaid drops but it is no working. There is lot of mucous in her stool.the frequency of her motion reduced but at night she is waking in sleep and complaining stomach pain and going to potty.

I am giving her boiled mineral water, coconut water, sabudana boiled, banana, curd rice. but she is not eating much. She lost 2pounds.

I heard there is now ecoli in meats in US. I donno where and how she caught this.

Please anybody advice me its been more than a week but still she did not recover how long will it take.

Please help me .......

sireesha replied. I don' t know ecoli.I am planning toi come in 2 weeks, don' t know how bhuvana will be.your daughter will recover soon.
