Hi,

My son will complete 3 and a half years by June 2008. I' ve applied for 3 schools(Bangalore). NPS Koramangala, DPS South and SVM(Sudarshan Vidya Mandir). My son has got selected for LKG in SVM. I' m told to pay the fees by 17th Dec. In DPS he' s selcted in observation test for nursery(Pre-KG) and yet to attend the interview. But Haven' t heard anything from NPS. Now I' m confused whether to Join SVM or wait for other schools in which case I' ll lose the seat in SVM(I' m scared to do this because what if my son don' t get admission in other 2). Can someone provide me some feedback(Positive or negative) on Sudarshan Vidya Mandir, so that I can decide whether I can join him there. Please Help.

Lohit vb replied. Even I' ve heard that SVM is a good school. No point waiting for NPS call. From what I heard, they' ve started their Montessori admissions but yet to start their LKG admissions. Besides your son may not fulfill their eligibility criteria of 4 yrs complete for LKG. DPS is also a good school but again you don' t know if he' ll get admission or not...all these so called well known schools have their own admission criteria which no one knows about.
Better to have a bird in hadn than 2 in the bush:)....So I say you take admission in SVM. If you' re not satisfied, then you can always try for better schools next year.

I sat in jp nagar and one of my relative works for SVM and also know a couple of my friends who have taken admission.in fact my co sister studied there.Itrs a good school ani can vouch for that but obviously not on the lines of NPS cadre.BUt its a good school.DPS is a good school too.in fcat i wanted to take admission in DPS but then i din want to put my kid there as i got reports that they make kids over independent in the sense that kids dont listen to us.This was not fine with me so i din want to take her for the school visit.but this is solely my opinion.If u feel thats right for the kid, then u can go for it.DPS has a brand name and also lots of scpe for extra curricular activities.As always every school has its pros and cons.

All said SVM is a decent school. shaj replied. Getting call from NPS is doubtful. I too applied in NPS indiranagar, but no info yet. People say they have finished their selection process.

I have no idea abt other 2 schools.
