Teething is always troublesome. In case she develops a fever and passes loose stools, consult a doc for some medications. Else, give her a teethe and be prepared to face her crankiness :)

My daughter used to cry a lot while she was teething. Teethers were hard for her and seldom provided comfort. Then I hit upon an idea. I took a clean, soft washcloth, soak it in apple juice, and wring it out and placed it in the freezer until it is ' frozen' . It will not freeze hard like water does, but will be much softer. Then I gave it to my daughter and she was happy sucking it .

i liked your idea very much. It is simply great. I used to give cold veggies to my son when he was teething. So he chewed on cold vegetables. cold carrots and celery sticks were great for this purpose. Even frozen fruits also worked like frozen apples and bananas.

Your suggestion is ridiculous. You should give her a teether, the soft chewable type. It will her relieve pain. You can store the teether in freezer for some time and then give it to your daughter. It works wonders.

RE:Consticipation for 4 years old
This is an old thread but one thing no-one said was that exercise is important for gut motility. All the green veg and pear juice will be limited in their effectiveness if the kid isn't very physically active (just walking more and driving less helps!)
Also, my usual comment - use a child-size glycerin suppository if he's gone for two or more days without doing a do.... - Suzanne [View Message]
