I have been reading about all of the women's problems and also the genuine solution given by you all.Iam very depressed since this morning..I dont know what to do please help me..
Iam from Delhi and got married last year and live in a big joint family.
I faced all the problems that any dil faces in everyday life.Since Iam very well educated I was aspiring to get a good job.But my inlaws kept on insisting about having
a baby.Even my parents and husband dont support me..Now Im in a very critical position.My doctor has confirmed my pregnancy last week..and yesterday I received offer from my dream company..where i had dreamt of working from college days..WHat shall I do in this situation..
Iam experiencing morning sickness and fatigue also these days in the morning..
I dont undrstand whether to be happy for my pregnancy or to cry over getting this job
offer at the wrong time..Should I sacrifice this job for my baby? I dont know what to do..
Iam feeling very guilty these days..Or can I handle both?I dont have any body to share these problems with.Even my husband doesnt bother to help me out in this situation.He wants me to jbe a house wife so that I can literally become his maid.Please tell me what to do..

One of my friends had just joined a new job when she got pregnant...it was difficult at first because of the morning sickness etc..but she used to keep crackers and giner ale at her side always and she got through.
After that, when it nears yr due date, I'm sure you'll get leave etc. So take care and go ahead and join the job.
About family not supporting you - most joint families are like that...you'll have to be strong yourself and take a decision..don't wait for your husband to come and congratulate you on your success...most men get brain washed by their parents that a wife's place is at home and its her duty to take care of children after they are born.
So when you start going to the doctor, go with yr husband so that he gets involved in your pregnancy..ask him to help you out with little chores...and after the baby is born, ask him to help you take care of the baby...

as an individual job is very important to a lady and that too in jointfamily,its very very important as it will keep u away from all unwanted noncences...
morning sickness will be there for max 3 months dont stain toomuch for that 3 months,going for job should not be a big prob.
keep yourself as happy as possible

U KNOW WHAT THS MORNNG SCKNESS'LL GO AWAY AFTER 3 OR 3 AND Half months. then u'll be all right. it'll be very easy for u to manage job. and for delivery u'll get some leave. after delivery also after leave month u can go to job. nothng to worry. because u r in a jont family u'll get some support in taking care of ur baby. am i right?
don't hesitate dear, move ahead. ur dream is not so important as ur baby. but being in these selfish famlies, u need that job. so keep in mind, u'll be ok.

also take proper rest, eat nutritiuos food, go to work, dream about ur beautiful baby and most mportantly BE STRONG

First of all, living in a large joint family for a qualified and `want a career' kind of a person like you is not going to be easy. Its futher sad that in one year of marriage itself you have discovered yourself all alone!
I strongly suggest that in spite of your pregnancy, you accept the job. Strive hard to take care of both. Indian society is changing fast, relationships too do not remain as they used to be during our parents' time. Its very important that you have a career to support yourself, financialy and intellectually too.
Take care of your health because its your baby's too. Wish you health strength and the will power to do all that you dreamt to do.

If you dont have objection to take up the job go ahead and do it ..You are saying that it is your dream job..Opportunity knocks the door very rarely and we have to make use of it..There are so many of them having baby and a job..If you are confident that you can manage both ,then dont hesitate...Convince your hubby by saying that the money you earn will be useful for the baby's future or to buy your own house,etc..i am sure that no one will say no to the extra income..Morning sickness wont last for more than 3 months..if at all your OBGYN will suggest you the remedies..By having baby you satisfy your family's wishes and by taking up the job you fulfill your wish.Be clear for yourself whether you want a carrier oriented life or be a house wife..If you are relly interested in taking up a job ,then accept this offer...finally,whatever you do, do it with confidence ALL THE BEST.
