Name: GKD Hi everybody,
Thanks for iewing my message. Actually we have one girl child aged 3.5 years and she is in LKG in India. By november we are going to come to Scranton in PA.. I want to know what is the education system in US.. and for this age which std. she will be put in..If she is eligible for atleast KG in US.. anyone knows the avilable schools especially indian schools.. in scranton..?
If anyone who knows well about these things ,kindly suggest me on this..

GKD,

I was just surfing the net and found your question. I live in Scranton, PA. I am not sure about Indian schools in the Scranton area. To the best of my knowledge there are none. At the age of 4 most ppl begin entering their children in a half day preschool in this area. The age of 5 is when the child enters Kindergarden. I'm sorry I couldn't be more of a help with the Indian schools but you would most likely need to be near a larger metropolitan area. Scranton is a great and beautiful place to live with many different cultures and you guys will feel very welcome here.
