Hi Archie,

Well, 4 months ago i was diagnosed with PCOD, and my hubs low sp count. I hadn't had any other tests so far. and since I was travelling doc suggested these tests. She has written DM(/n)C Laproscopy. She mentioned this was to see if my tubes were properly open.
From what I understand, this procedure is intra-uternal. wherein the doc will give me pain killers and insert an instrument in my body intra-uternally and spread iodine inside my system and then take an x-ray and a scan after 1/2 hr. this should give a good pic of my uterus to see if everythings ok inside. Apparently this procedure is kind of painful.

Have you not been taking Metformin for PCOS? How confident you are about PCOS?

Laproscopy procedure is pretty much what you explained, and it's good to get thought out of mind. Still have a second opinion of an expert Dr. when in India. Remember to consult a Urologist for your spouse to improve sperm count. When you both have some trouble it's important that both of you go through treatment and not only you. If you both undergo treatment then chances of success will be improved a lot.
D&C is common practice for irregular cycle and a old way of treating the patient to clear extra uterine lining. But have this done from a good Dr.
