Hi All,
I am a mother of a 6 months old baby. I have been b/f her till now. She is quite active, and the no of times she passes urine is also normal (certainly more than 10)...

I don't feel that she is full after having a feed. Though she herselves lets go the feeding and does not get hungry for around 2hours. My concern is that I never see her tummy full... it always looks like empty.. Should I be concerned? When I express I can get only around 80-70ml. Somehow it feels that it is quite less.

I had not started cereal till this month.. last month she gained only around 500gms, and 100gms in the month previous to that... Is it normal?

Prags jess replied. i agree with the other lady in the fact that your baby is perfectly normal(weight gain,etc) a baby is going to get more than we do when we pump..they are more effective.but i totally disagree with her opinion that it is time to wean...says who? her? if your baby is growing and gaining weight why stop?so you can give her formula that is not made with live antibodies?that is not made perfect for her little body?your breast milk is designed perfectly for her.don't take that away from her yet,plus it's comforting for her to nurse, she wants to smell you and be close to you ...not a cold hard bottle,she is still very young and she will miss it and you just may too!they grow up so fast enjoy this time while it's here!good luck:) tejmom replied. your baby is v.much normal. 500gms is a correct weight gain. as long as your baby does not cry and if she is active , dont worry. now that she is 6months old its time to start weaning
