hi,
Switching to a cup is not easy for every baby. And it is one of the many frustrating phases of parenting.Dont get stressed.Did your son ever drink from a sippy cup before? Are you using the nonspill cup with the valve? It might be difficult for the baby to suck from these nonspill cups.Try a simpler sippy cup which is not spill proof.Introducing it gradually might work for some kids.My daughter refused to take milk from sippy cup initially and I went back to bottle and started again few weeks later.I started with the time when she was most hungry i.e.,first feed in the morning. She still needed the bottle once in the night for few days. When she was drinking from the cup atleast 2-3 times a day,I stopped the bottle completely.
If you are worried that your son is not eating his meals too,why dont you wait for few more days to start the sippy cup.Stopping the bottle suddenly might not suit all the kids.
