Subject:  PCOS is curable!

Hi Anu,

I am also suffering from PCOS. but for me the insulin level in my body is on the higher side due to family history of diabeties. So the doc has put me on Glucophoage 500 mg three times a day to combat the sugar levels, plus I'm taking folic acid 5 mg once a day. She puts me on Duphaston for 5 days a month to regularize my periods from the 15th - 20th day. and last month I had a cycle of clomid.
I can completely understand how u feel about taking pills, pills and more pills!
But like u said, anything for a baby!
As for your in-laws, I would suggest that for the sake of your own peace of mind, ignore them. I have in-laws who are city born and bred, yet not my hubby's parents (they are great people),but some of his uncles and aunts can be crude.Forget them, my own normally quite modern grandma is driving me up the wall. She had knitted a baby sweater, booties & cap within 10 days of my wedding! that was 4 years ago!! when i spoke to her last month, she threatened to me to have a baby saaying \";else i will die\";! i can completely figure out what u mean. But i will tell u one thing. No one knows whats happening within u and so u shouldn't take any one's comments to heart. Mainly becoz, then your stress levels will increase and that is definately not good for trying to concieve!
now vijji has answered your questions. And I can tell you that its 100 right that PCOS is curable! so don't loose heart. Take your medicines on time. keep trying. keep smiling. Live life, and enjoy your marriage!
Wishing u all the best!
And loads of baby dust!
Love,
Sunshine

Dear Anu,

Here answeres for ur questions abt clomid

1.Day 3rd to start take clomid for 5 days (day 3 to day 7)
2.5 pills only u hv to take for month
3.without knowing the length of ur cycle cant tell when would be ovulate/or get periods
but normally if u r 30 days cycle u ovulate with pills around the time 12 th 17th days of ur periods
4.with clomid u may get some side effects like Hot flashes, head ache, veginal dryness, multiple preg, and u know abt diabetses etc...but u may get some of those symptoms or not also it various person to person

To detect ur ovulation use OPK kits if u dont get it go for Sonograph it is the best way to find out ur ovulation...

And one more importent thing is PCOS is not a uncurable thing...u will get pregnency with under ur Dr.s observation...dont get stress ur self over it is not gud for u. Infact it gives u bad impacts in pcos.
Hope u understand wt i am saying.
take care of ur self and just enjoy ur precious time of ur before motherhood it leads u and ur husband for ur destination
gudluck
vijji

I am sad to hear that you have been diagnosed with PCOS.
Don't feel lost and frustrated. For some people so many obstacles are on their path until they reach to final destination and unfortunately we are among of them. But we need to be determined and tough to fight all sort of obstacles comes our way and we are fighter.
I don't have much knowledge of PCOS so I can't give you give you any suggestion on that. How did your Dr. diagnosed with this. Did they sonogram also or just through blood work. As long as this is curable you shouldn't be worried. It might take some time be patience.
You are married only for 1.5 years; try to enjoy your precious time of your marriage.
Take Care!!!
With Luv and Hugs,
Anupama
