I am in a dilemma. My 6 yr old son is into junk foods. He does not like eating veggies or fruits. I do not know how I can make him eat healthy. I tried coaxing and pressurizing him but to no avail. I even tried bribing him but still he abhors healthy foods.

Hi Rajamma, You can develop healthy eating habits in your child by making meal times special and colourful. Food as rewards, bribe or punishment never work rather they lead to misbehavior. Helping in kitchen is a very good idea and it often works. Kids love eating foods they create.

Hi Rajamma, I was also in the same situation few years back. Then I had a marvelous idea, which worked. I took my son for grocery shopping and even encouraged him to help me in cooking. He was pretty excited and readily ate everything. I hope this works for you also.

RE:Consticipation for 4 years old
This is an old thread but one thing no-one said was that exercise is important for gut motility. All the green veg and pear juice will be limited in their effectiveness if the kid isn't very physically active (just walking more and driving less helps!)
Also, my usual comment - use a child-size glycerin suppository if he's gone for two or more days without doing a do.... - Suzanne [View Message]
