Hi AB,
I am Nithya from the Dec board. My baby is 7 weeks old & I feed her expressed breast milk. She has the same problem as your baby( constipation & passes lots of gas)had sometime back. I hope your baby is doing fine now. Can you pls tell me what you did to get rid of the problem? I am worried as she did not have any bowel mvmt for last 36 hrs.

Hey Nithya, dont worry too much about gas... almost all babies suffer from it.. it is due to their under developed digestive systems...
and about constipation, if you are really concerned - try glycerine suppositories- you get them over the counter and they are very effective and harmless..
u can also try feeding her luke warm milk... that helps too..
but you shouldn't be worried about them either...
I read that babies can go for a few days without a bowel movement and it is normal...

U only need to worry if the stools are hard....hard stools are considered as constipation when it comes to babies.

Try castrol oil that is very good otherwise u try bal dhuti or chamcho like that aryvedic medicine that is also good
