Yaa i had PCOS too. I was given Letrozole for the same. But it did definitely work for me. So now i dont have PCOS as my doctor states. Whenever she does an USG, i ask her whether i have PCOS or no. She laughs at me and says, \";no baby, u dont have PCOS!!\"; Since i didnt conceive after 1 yr. of being under her supervision / medication, she thought of doing a hysterolaproscopy. When she did that she came to know that i have hormonal imbalance. So she has assured that nothing's serious!! Its just hormonal imbalance and it can be treated with medicines.

As of now, i am on Optisulin for 3 months and also doctor told me to have Fol5. so am having that for a long time.

Hoping for favourable results soooooooooooooooon!!

But this month though i have Cysts my LH:Fsh is close to 1:1 which is very good (That's y i am so happy).Other than these i dont have any of the Pcos symptoms like Acne,unusual hairgrowth, obese...Before trying Letrozole, did u used clomid, if so, did you ovulate on clomid. if not which dose of letrozole worked out for u.
Sorry for too many questions.
My RE did HSG and everything is fine.(No blockage of tubes,Uterus looks fine)

Hi Pace

Hi Pace,

i was generally given 2 tablets a day of Siphene 100mg. and i ovulated perfectly. So i didnt have any probs. There was a time when i went to this doctor (dont wanna name her) initially and she told me that i am not ovulating at all. She made me take injections to promote ovulation. Though i ovulated, i started putting on weight. After a month, i left her and went to another doctor(again dont want to take his name). This doctor, i felt was very slow in pace so i changed him too. Now i am with this doctor (hahaha!!! name undisclosed against identity)who has supported me a lot!! This was the time when i lost my dad and she gave me the much needed moral support. So now i am with her for a year and i am more like a friend to her. She treats me the same way. So now i dont have any regrets in going to her.

This doctor had put me on Letroz 2.5 mg. another form of Letrozole)It did work on me. This was way back in the year 2003.

HSG was done for me too!! and i came to know that both my tubes are patent and there's no probs. Then this year i was suggested to go for Hysterolaproscopy. This also told me that there's no big problem and that i had hormonal imbalance. So i think my doctor has taken me on the right track.

So now i believe her firmly and always take her valid suggestions.

Praying to God that he shows all of us the right way and we leave this board to meet at the due date board!!!!
