Hi there,
I have a 7 month old baby girl. She took to solids very well from 4 months onwards and believe it or not she was having 4 solid meal plus 20 ounces of milk per day by the time she was 5 months ! however my goodluck was not meant to be becoz suddenly she has taken an aversion for solids from the mid of 6th month and now she is completely out of solids. She is now having only formula ( tho i dont give milk alone.. I mix it with nachni and oat paste for additional nutrition ) and lentil soup with veggies ( blended very well so that she can have it thru bottle ) and some fruit juice or fruit pulp . She hates baby food like crazy though she wont mind chewing on small bits of dry chapattis, wont mind trying vegetables meant for us if it is not very hot , but they are spicy at times. She would also chew anything ( any non food items that is ) she can lay her hands on! She is growing ok and now is 7.8 kg and height is approx 29 inches. I hear that babies of her age eats 4 solid foods daily .. and my baby wont have even 1 !.other wise she is a happy child and generally active one, Sitting without support and trying to stand though she cant sit up from lying position or cant stand up from sitting position on her own as yet. Can any one share their similar experience with me so that I can have an idea of how to gradually change her taste?
