I have some probs with a friend and myself.Friends please help me,she always tries to put me down and i can't avoid meeting her because we have common friends and its not possible.I have a tendency of ignoring all her snide remarks and her know it all attitude and some how if i try to become friendly with someone she keeps following me so that I don't get too friendly with that person ,she always wants that i should not have any friends and even the closest friends that i have she tries to act in front of other people that my close friends are actually closer to her and she is i don't know why trying to compete with me or something.
I don't want any competition,she criticizes everything I do and makes fun of it,even if it is my cooking(I am very good at cooking and amongst my circle of friends i am known to be good at cooking) or anything i talk.
She gets to me so much that I only keep fuming about her and thinking as to how to give her properly the next time,but when the next time comes up she frustrates me even more and I don't tell her anything back.
I am in U.S and i am scared of driving she learnt it and now ridicules me at every point about it.I am still not very confident about learning it.

I don't know what to do.I don't know where my confidence has gone.When I enter a party I have an irritated look on my face and then her husband and herself start acting nicely and try to win me over ,after I am relaxed she starts her nonsense.
Please help.
