my problem might sound different..i have a wonderful fil who's very supportive to me n cares me very much but the only problem iz he talks gnereal nasty things in public..for ex ..he comments abt other ladies(says that that lady walks like duck n she got big fat a** etc)
and he thinks that what he says iz all joke..i cant b able to hear those nasty talks..but i cannot talk back or express myself that i dunt like thiose talks bcuz he have got stubborn n ego charatcer..so then he wunt talk to me here after..and even thou my hubbby dunt like that talk too he too wunt express it to him...and once he said me why my 4 months old baby iz always crying bcuz i am not secereting enough milk(yucky)and i need to supplement something.and his family wunt feel anyhting for thiz bcuz they women n men will discuss the most women things in public(for ex..his daughter speaks abt her innerwear size in front of my hubby).even thou she iz my hubby's sister i feel itz too bad..i am basically a shy person.even my unmarried bil will talk abt breastfeeding etc as if they are experts...so friends plkz tell me whether i am oddddd ...or they shud not talk like thiz??how shud i react or express that i dunt like that sort of...??? sapna replied. I got married to a family who are equally yucky...I mean my FIL has asked me if I have periods or not once?..
I saw my MIL & my SIL talk about SIL's bedroom issues..?!!.I was so grossed out..I can never in my lifetime talk to my mom like that?..Guess wat they call themselves 'very close knit family'..My hubby(he was equally gross too before but not now!..he realised tat there could be a better world outside that) knows that I do not want to be so much knit with them and he does not mind now a days?!in the early days I used to crib to him and he used to bother me about becoming 'one' with his family..but nowadays all of the knit ones have started respecting my privacy and let me go out of their web..
When they see me, they talk low or stop talking because they know I would not want to hear wat they are talking...
Otherwise they are ok, but I was not simply able to stand their too much of
disclosures and exposures and big mouths
Just let them know very firmly and strongly that you don't want to hear any dirty talking...they will understand
