my 4 yr old daughter has blood in urine but no UTI i am very worried i asked doctor he says to go for ultrasound. please anyone reply if you know more about this. she has no symptoms at all. could this be hereditary?

Blood in urine is a serious problem. It could be due to Urinary infection (quite common), but may also be related to stones in urinary tract, kidney disease or nephropathy. IT HAS TO BE INVESTIGATED on URGENT basis! Please do not delay. Being worried is not going to solve the child' s problem.Please see a Pediatric Surgeon / Pediatrician at the earliest. If you are in Mumbai, you may contact me and we could see what can be done.
