Feeding:Feeding schedule for 13 -18 month

Name: Vidu

Hi my daughter is 13 month old eats about 5 times a day.
7.15am milk
9.30-10am - breakfast - gerber cereal or omelete
12.30-1pm - lunch - daal chawal and kheer
4.30 - snack - fruits and milk
8.15-8.30 - dinner - chicken, rice etc

She does not like eating too much. I wonder whether I should feed her more often? Also I would like some suggestions as to what should I prepare for breakfast, dinner and lunch? What are other Moms giving to their todlers?
Currently I make khichadi, daal chawal, suji ki kheer, raagi kheer, sabudana kheer, omelete, parantha for her.

More suggestions with recipe are welcome. Also I would like to know the feeding schedule for other todlers.

Thanks!

Hi Vidu,
I have a son who just turned 1year. My feeding schedule for him is pretty much similar to yours. I give him dinner at around 7pm and a cup of milk before bed around 9:00-9:30pm.
He too would not eat a single spoon more than he wants...
I usually make pulav, khichadi, dalia, a variety of parathas and dosas for him.
I use Tarla Dalal's book for baby and toddler food and he seems to like many of the things... u can also check the website for a few recepies..
Please let me know about ur recipies too !!!

Thanks and Regards

Subject:  Evn my daughter is same

Hi Vidu,
I am facing the same problem(I am sorry i dont know whether your daughter behaves like myn) with my daughter who is 14 months old..i can say she hates eating..and more over the rice..
her daily routine goes like this
8:00 1/2 cup milk and may be or may not be(it depends on her mood) a half banana or a fistfull of cheerios.
now a days my in-law is trying to give her upma,dosa,idli..which she may eat three to four bites.

12:30 She eats the gerber cereal as she doesnt like eating rice..we try to give her noodles but she likes it one day and she doesnt like it the next day..

4:30 1/2 cup of milk and a half gerber veggie bottle

8:30 if she likes to eat she will eat a bottle of veggie or a one or two bites of rice..i give her 4 ounce of pediasure for her calories.

I am not at all happy with her diet..and she is too underweight..i feel so guilty sometime, why am i not able to make her fat..
I would appreciate if you come up with some suggestions of making her eat..by the way i tried to play with her, allowed her to watch TV but she spits it up if she doesnt like it..is there any idea to make her spitting stop..she does it with everything if she is not interested..
I tried to give her lemon rice, curd rice, just dal and ghee, but she doesnt take it..
Please do come up with some suggestions..
Thanks,
Vibha
