Hi !!

My daughter is a little over a month old & she refuses to drink milk from the bottle. I have tried different nipples but nothing is wokring. I really want her to take the bottle as i intend to go back to work ! plus it'll be beneficial once i stop breastfeed. Please ! Please !! help ! Any kind of tip would be welcome ! vani Sona replied. Get a NUK Greber nipple at any shop in the US.

Rub babies cheek in a circular motion, this stimulates the sucking motion.

Also, try feeding when your baby is not starving and worked up.

Hi Vani if ur child chews on the nipple my advice is as follows: Buy a Camera bottle--the hole is just right , also most important is DO not feed yourself as I feel the child can smell breast milk when near you, tell ur husband/ MIL to feed the child, also try this when she/he is hungry but not crying. I have a 5 month old and i gave him bottle first when he was 2 mths old just to have him a habit of drinking from bottle as evryone used to scare me that if u do not get him into the habit within first 40 days he will NEVER take to bottle, However he took to it easily but from my mother, whenever near me he used to turn his head towards the breast.
all the best do let me know the reponse sumathi replied. nice to hear again.r u in USA?? i live in Atlanta,Georiga(east coast)..anyway..it'll be little tough if you haven't trained her since birth(that too for working mothers)..but it's not too late.. if she's really hungry she'll take it..it works for all babies..first try feeding from your breast and slowly insert the bottle..make sure the milk is little warm(dont like if it's very cold) and the nipple should be soft..what formula u use?? dont give up..be patient and keep trying..try to feed few oz from bottle whenever u feed her ur breast milk..btw, what'z ur baby name?? mine is 11 month old girl and her name is 'Abhirami'..

1.Try breast-feeding first for few mts and offer the bottle when your daughter is not too frustrated
2.If you are planning to pump and feed, that will help too,since she will realize that the same milk is coming from the bottle too.
3.Offer bottle when she is not too hungry, try to suppliment slowly, say one bottle for few days and so on.
4.If you are feeding in the night time,you can offer bottle then since she will be drowsy and will not fuss much.
These are few tips which I can think of.
