hi all, i recently found a babysitter for nirja. she said she will charge 120$ per week, is it a good price. i have to drop nirja there, its 30 mins drive.
or nanny is good. i could not find nanny, i have posted an ad past 15 days.is 120$ a good amt. also to mention that she does not have any license. or it is better to go for childcare. i have one hourly childcare at 15 mins drive.
please advice.

Hetal,

I drop my daughter to licensed daycare, which charges me $850 / month (everything is provided)
Earlier she used to go to another daycare, which used to charge $50/ day. Both the daycares take baby for max 10 hours/day

I personally feel u should go to licensed one nanny/daycare/babysitter, because they are trained to take of children and know how to handle emergencies. No experience of nanny though.

Hope this helps,
-Suchie.

Hi Hetal,
It really depends upon where u live. I pay $800 a month for a sriya's baby sitter (drop off), i.e, about $200 weekly. I used to pay only $600 for my son a yr ago (but that was a friend). In NJ, the rate is usually $5-$6 per hour. Also found a live -in nanny for $1300 thought it was too expensive so we didnot go for it.

Like everything else, think NJ is more expensive than other states.

Breast pumps
I am using a medela pump to feed my baby when I am out. The medela breast pumps are really a good choice for the working moms. We can pump the milk regularly and can store it and use whenever needed.... - dalewhither [View Message]
evenflo elan breast pump
Buy this pump! It’s made my life so much easier. I always got sore with my old Medela Advanced, but that never happens with the Ameda Purely Yours Breast Pump. What really makes a difference is its ease of use. It’s really easy to switch between pumping phases and take apart to clean. Strongly recommend it for all mothers that pump daily.... - stellatylor [View Message]

try this
As we discussed earlier in this forum I used magnetic alphabets , through which he has learnt alphabets within a week. And number within 4 days.
It is as like take the letter and stick to it where ever he goes more and ask him to search a particular letter. this worked very well for me.
all the best... - Manju [View Message]
