hetal, i asked his ped abt the whole milk ..said satrt afer 11 1/2 months and start with mixing with formula. also i have read on sites that we can give that way. i dont boil milk ...just takes water +milk in botlle then warm it after that add scoop of formula. i dont think we should boil milk like we do in india. we also warm milk for us not boil. but i will ask to ped in his next visit.

seema i m suprised ur ped said to give pediasure...i asked krish's ped in his 9 month visit... said not now can give after one yr. Actually yaar krish is 25% in 9 month and someone told me that people give pediasure to baby whos have low weight.
any ways ...will ask beore introduce it

hi sweety, thanx. you relieved me. even i dont boil milk for us. i was pretty much convinced by some forum at babycenter. they said after boiling milk, you remove the thick covering of creame on it, and then give it to baby. it will be easy to digest. So i started doing that.Thats y i said its too tiring for me, boiling it all the time.i give nirja one time directly whole milk. she has not shown any gas or discomfort. it has been 2 days.
do i need to mix water and milk then ?
i think because i used boiled milk, it smell like that. how long can you keep that mixture ?
i will also ask my ped about pedisur and let you know.

i had nishu 11 month well child checkup. actually i had to go to dr because he hit himself while playing.last monday he told me to give pediasure. At 9th month, nishu was obese :) my dr told me control his diet. During that time, he was on formula.

sweety, hetal.
i give nishu whole milk 2 times a day. 1 time i give formula. He is fine with it.
sweety,my dr said that let the baby drink it separately one after another.
nishu is not plumpy but is 22 lbs so my dr told to start pedisure for him.I bought it once last week. But my mil says its not necessary. she says its expensive and our indian food has all the required nutrients which american food does not have. So they give pediasure to their kids. I can not argue with her. So i will continue giving whole milk.
Ask your dr if nirja or krish is ready for pediasure.

sweety, i give her only once in a day and that too in the noons.rest time she is on bm or formula.
hey you mix formula with milk ? doesnt it smell. i tried that, it smell so i was afraid to give that. you use boiled milk and then cool it for formula or you put formula in the milk.
i gv her the milk that we drink, the whole milk.even i went to walmart i was tempted to buy pediasure. but i wasnt sure.thinking to ask my dr about it.
do let me know how to store milk too. boiling and cooling everynow and then is a pain. and its summer it might get spoil.

let me know

Breast pumps
I am using a medela pump to feed my baby when I am out. The medela breast pumps are really a good choice for the working moms. We can pump the milk regularly and can store it and use whenever needed.... - dalewhither [View Message]
evenflo elan breast pump
Buy this pump! It’s made my life so much easier. I always got sore with my old Medela Advanced, but that never happens with the Ameda Purely Yours Breast Pump. What really makes a difference is its ease of use. It’s really easy to switch between pumping phases and take apart to clean. Strongly recommend it for all mothers that pump daily.... - stellatylor [View Message]

try this
As we discussed earlier in this forum I used magnetic alphabets , through which he has learnt alphabets within a week. And number within 4 days.
It is as like take the letter and stick to it where ever he goes more and ask him to search a particular letter. this worked very well for me.
all the best... - Manju [View Message]
