Seriously ...... No OFFENCE !!!

I am from Aug 2005 group, and I see / write to this group cause you all are my seniors by 1 month.

About posting personal snaps or information .... of course it is a personal issue.
But have you ever thought of this.

Most of you have posted your babies name, birth date, your name, babie's snaps and your US and India location somewhere.

Don’t you think most of you have shared too much personal information ?
This information : Name, birthdate , mother's name , location is sufficient enough for some culprit to do identity theft.

As all this information is on public site, don’t you think your information sharing MAY affect your babies life in future. (Especially if you are in US - things like identity theft n many more) . I hope nothing like that ever happens to anyone.

Some of you may not like this post, I say sorry again ..... no offence.

Your posting is nice enough and intension is very honest so for God sake don't be defensive about your postings.

You sound like you are scared while posting as people may not like it. Actually its sad as intension of this site/board is to share our thoughts and nothing else.

i agree suchie. i too have to be careful, unknowingly i too have started sharing things about nirja.and in fact many people havent liked that too. i might sound abit personal to you, but i was happy when i didnt post my replies here. now it scares me.

I agree I shouldn’t be defensive, but I visited this group last week after a long time, ..... O gosh .... I was very shocked to see some back n forth mails. :-(

Still I wanted to send this mail because there are people or sites they manipulate information and mainly pictures, and may misuse it.

I understand we all moms are so eager to share small things about our babies; still not everybody is good .... So we should be little careful.

As we discussed earlier in this forum I used magnetic alphabets , through which he has learnt alphabets within a week. And number within 4 days.
It is as like take the letter and stick to it where ever he goes more and ask him to search a particular letter. this worked very well for me.
