Hi yes its very important to give some minor punishment to kids or else they will take you for granted and will not listen to you properly. Hence, its important to stay a bit strict with kids.

Yes there is a difference in punishing and disciplining. You should avoid punishing the child for as long as possible but then if you reach a point where you can not think of any other way to explain them, then punish.

Yes punishment sometimes is very necessary as if you don't take strict action the kids get out of hand and stop respecting elders and get under an impression that no matter what they do, no one will say anything to them.

Hi every one,
In these hampering is not so needed for kids because they are becoming very emotional and taking own decision against the people. It would be better need to explain what would be the result of the work they have done.

Hello Editor,
Punishing child is nothing but punishing ourselves own. Because they do not know good and bad everything must be explain to them in detailed until they understand.

Needed article for the hour! Felt happy that I came across this article today.
How punishing a child differs from disciplining him/her could be understood clearly. Hope this article helps many parents and teachers to discipline kids than punishing them.
