Hi Swetha,

I am starting my 19th week now and in the 1syt trimster I did not put any weight it was constant 60kgs.Infact I lost some kgs during 1st trimster and this time after 16weeks when I checked my weight I put 1kg weight.Hence its very common to loose weight or gain no weight till 16weeks.

Happy Pregnancy..

Hi Sweta,
I don't think so there is anything to worry. Usually in first trimister there is no much weight gain. Keep checking the weight regularly.. if it still drops then meet you gync.
As per me.. I am now starting 17th Week. Before pregnancy my weight was 59kgs. When I checked the weight in 16th week my weight was 62.6kgs. One of my friend who is now in 14th week has gained 7Kgs... and my elder sister during her pregancy she had gained only 8 to 9 kgs.
Don't worry and be happy. Take care.

Very good doctor
Hi,

I delived a baby boy in March 2009. I consulted Dr.Chitra Ramamurthy during my pregnancy cycle. She' s one of the best doctors in Bangalore. Not many people know about her. She handled the entire process in a very professional manner. I used to visit her clinic in Jayanagar 3rd block. She is very caring and affable. She says what to do and what not to do. ... - Sandhya Rao [View Message]

So long as your baby is feeding, that' s all that really matters. These days, formulas are packed with everything the baby needs, and although it is never as good as breast milk, it' s perfectly fine. It sounds like maybe what you are missing is the bonding that breast feeding provides? My first child had both breast and bottle milk for the first 6 months, when I had a mis... - Jhumri [View Message]
