Sleeping:Great Idea Neena ..Geetika for you too!

You will not believe it, but my sister gifted me a sling and it works great... only thing is that Madhav gets up as soon as I put him down!!!!And yes him sleeping on my cheast where he can hear the heartbeat is working well, even without the sling. His sleep at night has improved to aprox 4hrs, so I have some relief now.

Yesterday we had gone to the doctor for a check up , mainly to see if his cold has improved and the doctor felt Madhav was a bit pale , so we did an anemic test which is positive...We still have to take the report to the doctor. I am praying its nothing serious, do you have any clue???

Madhav's doctor is advising exclusive breastfeeding for 6mts...what do you think.

Btw. I like Geetika I too am in Delhi.. sry Gurgaon. What about you Neena.

Love and Kisses to both your kids,
Priya

Dear Priya,
I am so glad that you have a sling, with time, your baby will enjoy it even when a little bit older.

I think exclusive breastfeeding is ideal and something I would really like to encourage. The longer a baby nurses at the breast, the more antibodies he/she builds...this helps the immune system develop.

I pray too that nothing is of major concern regarding the test. I will continue praying.

Please keep us updated on Madhav's milestones, etc.

by the way; I was born in Mumbai, but I now reside in the US. :)

I am so thrilled I could be of help to someone.

Give lots of hugs and kisses to your little precious baby for me,

Blessings,
Neena

dear priya
my name is heena and i have 20 month old daughter. i think breast feeding is good as it contains nutrition. u have a balanced diet with five fruits, vegetables etc. inspite of that u can do one thing that is to give ur child spinach soup with tomato in it. boil spinach and tomato together and add a little salt and very little turmeric as spinach is good source of iron.even u can give him oats with milk and put an almond(badam) crushed. by god's grace he will be better and i will pray for him
give love to him on my behalf and be in touch bye

Hi Henna,

Thanks for your prayers.. The test reports came in and Madhav has Anemia. Nothing to worry though, he just has to be given iron suppliments. The doctos recommended iron rich food, just ike you suggested but only after Madhav complets 6 mts..thanks so much for you help.. kisses to your daughter,
priya

Sleep Problem due to itchy skin
My baby girl is unable to sleep properly due to skin rashes. I have resumed oil massages to help calm her down and facilitate better sleep, using CITTA Baby Massage Oil. Additionally, I am applying the ointment recommended by her doctor for the rashes. Could you please provide me with more ideas that can promote better sleep for her?... - Sanchari Tarafdar [View Message]

RE:How to Develop a Sleep Routine for your Newborn
According to me this is good but then you cannot force your child to sleep as per your wish as kids as really bad in this and they have a tendency to sleep in day and get up in late night so according to me this is not the key to success, please post if i am wrong.... - Anita [View Message]
