Sleeping:Hi New Mom

Yeah, you're right, since our kids are about the same age it will be useful to share notes.

As per my doctor, a child may sleep from 8-15hrs and the duration can last from 15mins to 4 hrs during the day and upto 6hrs at night....wow!

So how's your child doing, did any of the methods I suggested worked? Let me know...

My son has got a cold and he is on antibiotics.. poor baby is so cranky and unwell...

Luckily I am at home , no office to go to my M.I.L is also with me, so we are managing.

Take care,
Priya

Hi Priya,

The saree idea did not help but a massage and a warm bath definitely did. Thanks. And you're right abt it getting better after 2 months. My baby now sleeps arnd 5-6 hrs at a stretch in the night.
However, his crankiness abt falling off to sleep still continues during the day. But I am managaing.
How is ur baby doing? It must be so hard on the poor soul to be unwell. Hope ur giving him the proper vaccinations the right time.

By the way my name is Geetika and we live in Delhi. I work as a technical writer for NIIT. Where do u live?

Keep writing abt ur little one and kiss him for me.
Bye
Geetika

Sleep Problem due to itchy skin
My baby girl is unable to sleep properly due to skin rashes. I have resumed oil massages to help calm her down and facilitate better sleep, using CITTA Baby Massage Oil. Additionally, I am applying the ointment recommended by her doctor for the rashes. Could you please provide me with more ideas that can promote better sleep for her?... - Sanchari Tarafdar [View Message]

RE:How to Develop a Sleep Routine for your Newborn
According to me this is good but then you cannot force your child to sleep as per your wish as kids as really bad in this and they have a tendency to sleep in day and get up in late night so according to me this is not the key to success, please post if i am wrong.... - Anita [View Message]
