Sleeping:Thanks Neena and Raj.. another problem..

Dear Raj & Neena,
Thanks for your help... I am feeding on demand and of late do find that Madhav's stomach is full.I too had checked with my doctor about using breast pump.... but surprisingly he is against it, so is my Gyne. Well breast feeding is ok so far.
My Babies sleeping habit is soooo fussy, even is he is sleepy he sleeps only on on hands, very close to me, if I move him away after he is in deep sleep , and keep comy pillows around him, he gets up within 15min and is sooo cranky, Its not possible for my in the daytime to lie down with him. What do you suggest?
Thanks in advance.
Priya

Hello Priya,
Thank you for ask us for more ideas.

I was thinking about your baby's sleep and I cannot say this would work for you...it isn't for everyone, but, I used a baby sling to carry my baby in during the day for a while until she was comfortable sleeping in the bed without me.

Hearing your heartbeat, feeling your body temperature and hearing your voice will comfort your baby, that is why I really liked the baby sling.

If that isn't an option, try patting your baby's back or tummy lightly while he sleeps beside you and slowly walk away...

also, keep one of the pillows or blankets around him that you lay on...your scent (although we can't sense it) will comfort him.
that may not work, but sometimes it worked for me...

another suggestion that I like is turning on soft soothing music in the room during the feeding and then it may help Madhav sleep on his own better.

Kiss your little one for me, please!

Take care,
Neena

Sleep Problem due to itchy skin
My baby girl is unable to sleep properly due to skin rashes. I have resumed oil massages to help calm her down and facilitate better sleep, using CITTA Baby Massage Oil. Additionally, I am applying the ointment recommended by her doctor for the rashes. Could you please provide me with more ideas that can promote better sleep for her?... - Sanchari Tarafdar [View Message]

RE:How to Develop a Sleep Routine for your Newborn
According to me this is good but then you cannot force your child to sleep as per your wish as kids as really bad in this and they have a tendency to sleep in day and get up in late night so according to me this is not the key to success, please post if i am wrong.... - Anita [View Message]
