I agree 100% with Chhavi. My daughter's pediac keeps saying that make food transition in kids such a way that by they are 1yr old they should have food that we all elders eat at home. Ofcourse with less masalas.
My daughter is 81/2months old. I have already started giving her idlis, dosa, chapati and dal+rice with vegetables.
So, keep trying various foods that we have in little quantity and they'll enjoy.

cheers
Deepa.

You can make khichdi by mixing rice with any of three (Yellow moong dal, Green moong dal or toor dal) dals. I prefer to take equal portion of rice and dal. You can add vegetables like green beans, carrots, green peas, flower and potatoes. Add turmeric powder and salt (Optional cumin seeds or powder) and water. Pressure cook till four whistles. Once its ready add ghee and mix well with spoon, add milk OR yogurt (not sour one). My 11 ½ months old son likes it with yogurt. Besides khichdi you can also try mashed potatoes with cheese. Pressure cook potatoes mash them, add shredded yellow cheddar cheese (optional red chilli powder or black pepper powder) also add little bit of yogurt.

Hi vgp,
I read your earlier messages also and saw that you were a little disappointed by people not replying your mails.
I have a 12 month old daughter and she has already started eating the meal which is cooked at home. I started her with boiled daal and vegetables but slowly and graudally I moved her to the food which we eat. I always taste the food which I give her and if I find it tasty then only I give it to her otherwise not. I think you should stop giving boiled veges to your daughter and start things like Kadi, Palak paneer, Egg Curry, Arahar daal which has got all spices but in a very limited quantity. I have stopped putting GARAM MASALA in all the vegetables I cook at home but I do put red chilly a bit for the taste and everybody at home eats the same.
You can also try Daliya, Strawberry crush, Papaya crush, Banana crush for her. You can try Sweet curd. Also you should not mash the food. My father is a dental surgeon and he has told me that at this time only kids will learn how to chew themselves.
You can also try giving murmura(laiyaa) to her.

All the best.

Chhavi
