I am married for 4 years.I am in big delima wheather to trust my husband totaly or not...I have got terrible SIL , who spoils my MIL also.I don't really enjoy going to my husbands house.so I stay most of the time in my mothers house.since my family understands my problem, & support me.my husband wants me to stay with him, when ever we go to india, with him.I try to explain him, what I go throw with his mother & sister, he says just act normally...listen from one ear & leave it from another..but he talks in the back with them about me.I have got so much prof that he did it like that.& he has put me down also in front of them, by supporting them several times..if we are out that house he is normal..& I know he loves me alot.sometimes, I feel like I can't trust this man totally..am I doing any mistakes? by not going to his house & staying with him?..if yes, than how can I trust this man while staying in his house?.b'coz he acts completely strange in his house. I am exactly in your situation. It is quite obvious that your husband is a coward. He only wants you with him to make his vacation comfortable. You should insist him on making a separate house so that you need not go and stay there when he comes down. You can only visit them once a while. It is better to stay separate and be good then to stay together with inlaws and strain the relation.

loving each other was never a problem for us..I gave him my self..I do everything what ever he says..my problem is staying with my SIL & MIL.but simply becoz I listen to him, that doesn't mean I have to listen to them also..my SELF RESPECT is very important to me. I don't like someone putting down my personality. I go to india for 1-2 months..why should I stay with him, listening to them?? & spoil my whole vacation..the things they say to me is below the humanity level.I can't imagine any human being can talk like them or act like them(I can't say how they talk to me or act with me ,here bcoz this space may not be enough for to tell).I don't have any problem in visiting them..but I am scared & tensed to stay with them for long period. Kiran replied. Talk to your husband. From all that you wrote, I think he is not a bad person. Since you have this problem with his mom & sis, sit down & talk to your husband. Tell him what your problem is & ask him why he behaves strangely in their presence. Tell him nicely ow it hurts you. I think your problem can be solved by communicating with your husband & knowing his reasons. Good Luck to you!
