i m in usa, had a baby some time back.

why do these ppl count age in months for so long? for how long does this go? My baby is 2+ yr old. When i say 26m, my folks back in india grin and ask me how much is that! When i say 2+ i agree it is easy for all of us to undstd.

another thing i wonder is, why do indian ppl here also use months and lbs with ppl in india when we know they coversion wd be wasy for them? is this just for ishtyle? Definitely if you have been living long enough you get used the way americans talk, specially when you mixed crowd friend and you' re working. my dau is 3 and i used to tell her age in month only till she was 2 something, after that always taught her to say 2 and a half. well and its ones own judgement, when talking to people in india we know they are more comfortable with yrs then months, when talking to people there that what is better to use.
