all my tests r normal....my prolactin test was..41.4
i was put on bromocriptine.for a few months....but i had to discontinue the treatment as v got transferred .i was given ferto.md but it dint work...i hav breast discharge from my right breast.they r always tender.i hav got prolactin test done again...it is 10.5 earliar i was asked to get mri done . do u think it is necessary. i suffer from pcod.my period was due on 3 may i havnt got it yet.it is the first time im 7-8 months i they hav delayed so much. otherwise i got them in a week or 2.
please help.my doc says to get ivf done..but i want to try iui first.ple tell me what questions i shud ask her . my hcg was done it is normal. i wonder y did she ask me to go for ivf directly...instead i want to try iui(artificial insemi.)i still hav not got my periods.
ple help. archie replied. Jazy to me sounds your ovulation is perturbed. If you discontinue treatment for prolactin then you have gone back to high prolacting and affected ovulation and cycle in turn.

You first need to get your breast normal (referring not to be tender and not to leak) and have all hormones test done. If the situation improves and help regularize ovulation then you may be allowed to go natural provided your spouse bear normal sperm quality/quantity. Othersiwe IUI and if things are worse then IVF. I would not recommend pregnancy before making sure what's going on with breast. Trust me, IUI Or IVF are not bliss they again fail, finally one has to have hormonal balance to take pregnancy to term.
