Hi friends,
I hope u all remember me...specially the old ones with whom i had interacted a lot .I had been off the board for last 2 months.But cant see old friends around.

Today i have given again my blood for Beta HCG .
Waiting to know what has happened.If the levels havegone down ..im now afraid and upset.
Please friends i want ull to pl pray for me.

Well Archie I dont know why the transvaginal sonography was done by doc. The endometrial thickness on 26th day was 11mm.
The doc has given Duphastone tablets. I asked her todayand she says the TVS will not bring any harm.
I m just waiting for tommorrow.
I didnt have miscarraige , delivery or fibroids.
Just hoping for something positive.Anyways will keep u posted.

The need of tvs was not there especially when you are still in luteal phase.
Although implantation is supposed to take place within 5-7 days or as early as 3 days, I also know cases where it took place as late as 9 days. Therefore things will not show up on CD11 with reference to gestational sac or sort of that.
One should take things easy while in luteal phase, which is mandatory regardless of stress and troubles couple are going through.

Once you missed period you are qualified to take pregnancy test at home with first morning urine or with blood to quantify exact levels.

In my opinions if the blood levels are running towards the lower range a repeat is recommended within 48 hours to assure the levels are on rise and are about the double, this will demonstrate the implantation did not take place in the standard time frame and took place a little late, which may be of concern or normal, can't say about that.

In the 5th week one is expected to see gestation sac and also fetal pole, but I know cases where they have had troubles to see fetal pole even in their early 6th week and that's normal.

My way of handling is this, just confirm pregnancy with first morning urine and if needed get the blood work done but do not rush on ultrasound.

I recommend girls to call their OB only when they complete 5th week as I know each OB differs with practice and some wait for ultrasound while some just rush on it. It's fine with OB but patients who don't get to see what they want get in stress and that's not very nice while pregnant. This is solitary reason I want girls to wait till they enter 6th week to call their OB and then things could go well.

I think in your case all was expected is to repeat blood analysis in 48 hours so to see whether you have it on rise or not. If it was on rise then an ultrasoun may be the week after missing period so that you can at least expect gestation sac.

Usually ultrasound is not supposed to harm pregnancy. But I just found it difficult to digest that your OB did not wait for a few more days. I know if you won't get to see what you want then sure you will be upset and puzzled as to what's going on but that's in vain as you are not going to change anything.

I think I will wait your blood results to comment more on issue.
