hi ,my son is 2yr old( he just turned 2).He doesn' t speak a lot. When i read any book or sing any song, he reacts with those. Sometimes i don' t say the last word and fills the blank with the correct word, but can' t say it perfectly. He sings ABC song, though he can' t say all the words, but he is perfect in the tune...He shows me the water jug when he is thirsty, pulls me in the kitchen when hungry. he follows simple commands. But he is not talking. He says mamma, dadda, but never address us.
i' m really worried about this. i read lot of articles and follow their suggestions. it really helped me but recently i noticed he never does any eye contact with poeple. If somebody say ' hi' , he just ignores, he doesn' t even look at them. He is a ver very active boy..never sits in one place. Is this because of this or something else ? People are saying he may not be able hear other' s voice, he only can hear my voice and reacts with that. but he responds a lot with music and his favourite TV shows.
Please help me. I have scheduled appointment with doctor , soon we' ll find out . But i' m really worried...
thaks a lot

Hope you have seen your doctor and everything is clear with you.i think there is nothing to be worried.he is trying to sing and say words, just encourage him to do that.my son did not speak a single word till he was 3.now he is improved and he is saying simple words.he must be just shy when he says strangers.if he can hear your voice then there is no way that he cannot here others voice.if he is making eye cantact with you and your husband then dont worry about it.you can take him to library, parks and other places where he can see lots of people and play with kids.dont worry everything will be just fine.

Speech/language delay - 2.3 yr old boy
Hello Everyone

Our 28 months old boy is not speaking simple 2 or 3 word sentences yet. He speaks a few words such as mama, papa, aunty etc but definitely not more than 10. Also, he doesn't understand slightly longer sentences, even when we speak slowly and enact it such as "we'll go out after we eat". Otherwise, he appears perfectly normal. Shoranur kerala samajam Ayurveda hospital review
Hi All,

My son is less than 4 and has been diagnosed to be on the autism spectrum. He is non-verbal. We are taking him for OT and ABA/speech therapy.

Meanwhile, I read about an Ayurvedic hospital called Kerala Samajam hospital in Shoranur. Has anyone gone there for treatment? Any reviews?

Hints for Nursing
Babies eat and eat and eat. Although nature has done a pretty good job of providing you and your baby with the right equipment, in the beginning it's almost guaranteed to be harder than you expected. From sore nipples to tough latch-ons, nursing can seem overwhelming.
