Friends ,

My baby boy is 16 months old and he says only 10-12 words , is that okay ? i talk to him more ,and read books also , is there anything i can do to improve his speech .. Im alone in US and i dnt have any relatives or friends that have kid same age with my son , im really worried , and what should i teach my son at this age , pls advice .. i badly need advice ..

Yes it is OK, I have two childrend, one is four years old, another is 8.5 months he says only 1 or 2 words. but my elder daughter says 10-15 words at 16 months, my friend' s daughter is 2 years old but she says only 15-20 words. so it is Ok. don' t worry.

hey, even i am in us and ur son is dng well for his ageand even my son is 16.. just all u need to do is make him do things and talk to him as u talk to a 10 yr odl kid.. he can grasp thngs faster.. dont think he is just 16 months.. kids r more matured these days

Our 28 months old boy is not speaking simple 2 or 3 word sentences yet. He speaks a few words such as mama, papa, aunty etc but definitely not more than 10.
