Working Mother:Handling pampering by grandparents
2013-04-10
Name: Pratima Sheikh

My in-laws and my mom used to spoil my kids but after voicing my concerns, they realized their mistake and backed off. Now they do not necessarily pamper the kids. they do not buy unnecessary toys or clothes and they know that too much junk will cause harm. It really pains to see me when kids ask me for something and if i do not give them, they go to grandparents. If they get it for them then this sets a bad example. every once in a while gift is fine, but not all the time. I am very thankful that my in-laws and parents have understood this and finally they realized that they are spoiling the kids and not helping them.

I usually get quality time with my son on Sundays/holidays. But then as i reach home by 8 eve, I realy work hard to finish the work and food by 10 or 10:30 to make love with my son coz i love him very much after my husband.
