My son has excema. I am using Elidel and Eucerin and so it is in control. The doc had asked me to wash his clothes with a detergent free of perfumes and dyes. So I use Tide Free. My Q is I will be travelling to INdia. What do I do re. the detergent for his clothes. Anyone had this problem before.

Secondly what do I do for feeding him in the plane. Apart from breastfeeding him, I bottlefeed him too. If I use playtex or other nursers, do I still have to use fresh nipples verytime I feed him?

Also please give me some travel tips.

Hi Neha,

I recently had a trip to India with my 7 month old.I use dreft for her,so for the trip I carried the same in the powdered form.So,see if you can get the detergent you are using in the powdered form.If there is no other option its better to take the one you are using in a safe container/bottle.

You din't mention the age of your baby.As my daughter was 7 month old she was feeding on solids.I took some gerber jars,cereal and ofcourse formula.I think its good to use fresh nipples every time.You can get hot water on the plane so you can just rinse them with hot water.
Try to carry less hand baggage - a medium size backpack will help.Have a safe trip.

I had a similar query a few months ago concerning eczema occuring in toddlers. As far as I know, it can be due to a varrying number of factors and common foods that end up causing the condition in 1-2 year old toddlers.
