Feeding:Cold & Chest Congestion-URGENT!

Hi,

My 9 mnth old boy has a cold from 4 days now & i am giving him am antibiotic & Rhinathiol expectorant 3 times a day. His nose is blocked & he is having trouble breathing while sleeping.

Since he is still breastfed, he is unable to take milk frm 2 days & that too is worrying me.

What is a home solution for a humidifying his room? I dont hv a humidifier where i live. What other options. advise can other experienced mums give me.

Pls help

Yes, the steam from the shower gives relief. And also u can try to make ur baby sleep in the car seat. Since its elevated he may sleep well!!!

my son is 5months and i too faced the same situation.u can make ur b'room steamy by running hot water in shower and go into the b'room with ur baby.the steam vapours help him to get relived of blocked nose and helps him to breathe......
