Thanks so much for your support. You are right, it is a tough time for us. More so for him than me. I know I can deal with this. But I am so afraid for him. He is the sort of person who carries a lot of stress, is pessimistic..I know it makes it very hard. I am trying my best to make him cheerful and stressfree and relaxed. I know God is with me... I will come out of this. I have to.

Archie, what I wanted to know is what exactly is IUI? and how is it done? tentatively how much does it cost? I have no idea about any of this. The doc is not proceeding with us right now coz she wants to take another analysis for my hubby. Following this she will be sending him to a urologist for checking the reason for such a low count. I am continuing my medication, along with Yoga and exercise.
I will ask about Ayurvedic medicines for him and me. Whatever works.
Will wait for your reply.

I felt very sad reading this message of yours but should appreciate you for being so strong and taking things in the right spirit.

Personally what I believe in is, try for sometime(this limit we have to set among ourselves with our dh). Try everything possible in that time, with a very optimistic mind and belief in God. Success will be yours. If at all that time limit crosses without success, then an alternative method should be thought of (Like adopting).

Pls do not get hurt because I said this, but I said this from what we(myself and my DH) had decided just some weeks ago. After this decision, my mind had relaxed a lot.

Soumya. whynot replied. The most important factor here is to reduce stress. I wont say omit it as i have gone thru' it. Reducing stress makes life more easy.
As far as IUI is concerned it costs approx. $500. Some insrance companies cover it some dont. IVF is approx.12-13,000.
Listen to what ur dr. says as he is the best person to rely on. That is if he's doing everything correctly.Hope he's not cutting ur pockets for no reason. archie replied. Dear Sunshine,

But don't rush as it will lead to negaitve results with all results and amount of pressure you spouse has of his own and other factors.

First of all let your spouse learn to take things easy to help improve sperm count to the best of his body ability. Then I will wait for repeat results and I would have said to show him to an urologist to investigate and go to the root of cause and try to treat it before going to any natural trials or expensive procedures.

I do not know cost effects of IUI but can imagine in some 10s of thousand dollars. It's procedure in which they isolate healthy sperm of your spouse and will be injected a few hours before estimated ovulation time, will be determined with help of OPK and an ultrasound. It's that even with all normal people fail in some rounds of Intras Uterine Insemination, so think of all these options and get treatment and settle mind before going for IUI.
