Trying since long:Fibroid during pregnancy.....Archie

Hi Archie,
My first OB appointment is on Tuesday but on last Friday I had tummy pain moving from right to middle after my lunch for couple of hours. I called my OB and they told me to come to the office for tests right away. They took blood test and said that the count was 14,000. And they did vaginal U/S. She asked me the gestational age but I said I'm not sure because my last period date was March'29th but OPK turned positive on April'23rd. She did U/S and said that day it was 5weeks5days.
Unfortunately, she found a fibroid in the uterus and a cyst(2.2cms)in my right ovary and she said may be that's why I;m getting pain rightside. And is this the reason for my tummy fullness feeling?
Archie, I was excited to see the baby on the screen but same time I'm depressed looking at the fibroid and cyst. What all I have to ask my OB in tomorrow's appointment Archie? ??
I surfed the net and came to know that in the early pregnancy fibroids in the uterus risk in miscarriage. Is that true Archie ???
How can the baby grow in the uterus with the fibroid ? Will it effect the baby ? She didn't tell me the actual size of the fibroid.

I know I'm asking too many questions Archie. But you are the only hope. I'm very depressed from last Friday. I'm not at all interested to take healthy food also.
Please help me to come over this Archie.

Dear Sushma,
It's fair to feel upset when you don't know all about you want to know.
Fibroids can be there throughout the pregnancy and can't be said if it will grow, but usually it does not grow with comparison of growing baby while progressing pregnancy.
Cyst should shrink in about 3-4 months time, don't worry.

Given cyst and fibroid your first trimester can be more painful that it should be. However, knowing that you are needing rest, I have to warn you to keep as less work for you as possible. Take more rest, and yes no lifting of your toddler even in second trimester:(

Not that all fibroid cases lead to miscarriage, there are hundreds of thousand lost baby and keep on loosing baby without any known risk factor. Then why to worry and increase more risk by hypertension. You need to be less anxious and enjoying mood.

I want you to be good with everything. If your ultrasound on last week that's on 16th may showed 5 weeks 5 days gestation I am not confused, it's alright, because ovulation is supposed to be on 14th day while calculating gestation. and from there it will be about 4 weeks till 16th of May, coming all together to near about 6 weeks and that's what you see from ultrasound, I am fine with it and suggest you to take things easy.
