our marriage took place abt 6.5 yrs back , since last 4 yrs we r trying for a child but no results yet . Both of us are medically fit in all aspects . we have some basic doubt

1.) what should be the position of female during intercourse to concieve
2.) when the pillow should be kept below the hips
3.) how long female & male should be in the same position after discharge
4.) Is it advicable to drink water after intercourse
5.) what is the best time ( as both of us r working it is difficult for us to wake in deep night )

Female is reproductive only 2 days in a month so missing that window makes a month go waste.
2. Relax dont stress ur self, enjoy sex as a process rather than a task...BELIVE me it helps
3. Missinory position is good, and after intercourse put ur legs in the air like a asana, this will help the semen flow inwards (gravity) helps....

Sorry to know that you havn't been able to concieve yet but the good thing is that both of you are physically fit, so keep your hopes up.

Based on what I know, the answers to your questions are:

1.The missionary position is supposed to be the best beacuse it allows for the deepest penetration.

2. A woman should keep a pillow below her hips immediately after having intercourse. This elevated position encourages the flow of semen to the cervix and finally into the fallopian tube.

3.Best time for conception-
a. To increase chances of pregnancy, a couple is usually advised to have sex up to at least 2 days prior to ovulation to 1-3 days after.(Before ovulation insures that sperm will be present when the egg is released).

b.Many experts believe that having sex in the morning increases chances of conception since the semen has the highest number of sperm then.

4.I have no idea about drinking water after intercourse. But I don't think it makes any difference- either way.

I hope you are aware of lubricants, because I myself didn't realize that they can also affect the process. Most lubricants available in the market are not sperm-friendly. I recently came to know about a sperm friendly lubricant \";Preseed \"; on this board only.
