8.30 am 1/2 cup cereal (very small cup)
12noon khichari or roti that too in little amount some times just refuse to eat.
4pm any fruit
7.30 pm dinner again roti or khichari.
9.30 pm milk
some times in between playing he eat biscut, halwa. Im not sure is it sufficent for him or not. Pls suggest me what should I do to make him sleep through the night.
Thanks in advance.

u can try giving him idli mix it with milk, mash it nicely, add 2spoons of ghee and 2spoons of sugar to increase the calories. it is a must that u add ghee to your baby's food because they have a v.small stomach. so they eat v.less which does not provide enough calories. this is compensated by adding ghee and ofcourse sugar can also be added. but it should be palatable. this is called bridging up of calories. ucan give him egg. 100% egg protein is utilised by the body. make your own chart according to your baby's interest. hshe willsoon gain weight and grow taller. regarding sleeping habits, u dont have to worry.breast fed babies tend to suck more often. but give him sufficient food before sleeping. all the best111

hi,
my son is also 11 months old and i have the same problem. he is very active and sleeps for barely 1 1/2 to 2 hrs in the day time. still he keeps getting up at night for his milk.
i have tried every possible thing and given up. i guess we'll have to just wait for them to sleep on their own
so, don't worry. just relax.

Subject:  Sleeping thru the night

Hi.
My daughter is 18 months old now, and till last month, she never used to sleep through the night. Now she has started running around, and sleeps only for 1 hour in the day. For the past 1 week she has been sleeping continously. I think 11 months is too early for them to sleep continously. they need to do lot of physical activities for that, and need to be really tired. It is not just food becoz of which they dont sleep. Try to observe this and then u can come to some conclusion

Hi Cld he teething? That sometimes affects their eating & sleeping i believe. Even tho my baby is younger than urs but i've heard teething mein kids feel irritation in their gums so give up food .. read Dr. Spock if u can get hold of it.
He suggests changing the kind of food & not worrying if its a matter of 1-2 wks ka behaviour change.

Hope this helps u
